Favorite Quote Friday #31

Happy Friday, everyone!  How was your week?  Good, I hope.  Mine was busy as usual.  I'm pleased with the progress I'm making on Book 4 in my Immortal Guardians series.  :-)  Every chance I can get, I've been working on a new design for my website, too.  I hope to unveil that sometime this month and have been creating some cool Wallpapers for the Free Stuff section.  I hope you'll like them.  :-)
I'll be mailing some more winner packages today.  I always love putting those together and was particularly excited this time because I just received my first batch of Phantom Shadows swag to include in them.  Woohoo!

Just a reminder:  The Brenda Novak Annual Auction for the Cure of Diabetes is now underway.  I've donated an Immortal Guardians package:
  • 1 signed copy of Darkness Dawns
  • 1 signed copy of Night Reigns
  • Immortal Guardians swag (cover flats, postcards, bookmarks, mini-bookmarks).
Bidding will continue through may 31st.
It's time again for Favorite Quote Friday.  Bastien, the hero of Phantom Shadows, has been on my mind so much lately as I eagerly anticipate his book's release.  So, for this week's selection, I have chosen a narrative quote from Darkness Dawns in which Sarah, the heroine, sees Bastien for the first time:

As Sarah completed her visual inventory, an eighth figure materialized from the darkness and moved to stand in front of the others, who fanned out in a loose horseshoe around him.

She swallowed.

This man was almost as scary as Roland when Roland was at his most intimidating.

He was tall, an inch or two above six feet, with shoulder-length black hair. His taught, muscled body was clad in black jeans and a black T-shirt, his broad shoulders encased in a long black coat. His face was clean-shaven. His jaw strong.

He would be quite handsome if he didn’t give her a major case of the creepin’ willies.

Thanks so much for joining me!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Dianne
