Favorite Quote Friday #126

Happy Friday!

Look what came in the mail!  Night Unbound cover flats!  Aren't they pretty?  If the image isn't clear enough for you to read it, here's the blurb:
Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians protect humanity from unspeakable horrors—but their hearts are as fragile as any mortal's . . .
For centuries, Lisette d'Alençon has been a warrior against the dark.  She fights alongside her brothers and comrades.  But when the dreams start coming, she can't bear to confess them to the Immortal Guardians' command.  Dreams of a dark-haired man with soft eyes and brutal wounds, a man her heart aches for—and a man she knows has been declared a traitor.
Zach is an exile, a loner.  He won't defend himself against false accusations or grovel to those who should have faith in him.  But he'll damn sure defend the woman who kept him sane against a plague of super-vamps that seems to have appeared from nowhere.  The Guardians will blame him, and that will make Lisette suspect, too.  With life, death and eternity on the line, who can they really trust?
I've been getting  a lot of emails and messages, asking if Night Unbound will be available in e-book format.  It will.  It takes longer for the pre-order for those to appear, though.  I'll let you know as soon as I see them go up.   :-)

Night Unbound will also be available in audiobook format.

Coming September 2, 2014
Now available for Pre-Order in paperback!
Amazon • Barnes and Noble  Book Depository Books-A-Million

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I thought I'd give you another peek into the pages of Night Unbound, Immortal Guardians Book 5.  What comes directly before this is a bit of a spoiler, so I'll just tell you that Zach is holding Lisette tightly in his arms with his face buried in her neck.
“I don’t want to be left with nothing but a pile of your clothing, Lisette,” he murmured. “I don’t think I could handle it.” He fisted a hand in the back of her shirt. “I think I would lay waste to the world if I lost you.”
Tears burned her eyes. “I’m sorry.”
I love these two together and hope you will, too.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday #125

Happy Friday!  What an exciting week!

I finished Night Unbound copyedits and turned them in.  Woohoo!  I know September 2nd seems far away, but every writing/editing milestone I pass makes it seem as though it's right around the corner to me.  :-)

I wrote down quite a few quotes to share with you between now and the release.  There are sooooo many more I want to share, but can't because they contain spoilers.  :-)  Next up is proofs.  Then the ARCs will arrive.  I can't wait!

I also passed 5,250 Likes on Facebook—Yay!—and celebrated by giving away two signed books and two swag packs.  Thanks so much, everyone who entered!  If you're on Facebook and missed the fun, don't worry.  There will be more flash giveaways.  You can find my page HERE.  :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Bastien was on my mind a lot while I read through Night Unbound copyedits.  He has some great scenes and plays a cool role in this one.  :-)  So I thought, for today's selection, I would give you a quote from Darkness Rises, Immortal Guardians Book 4, that features him and Melanie, the love of his life.
Rising, he took her hand and drew her up to stand before him.  “We can do anything as long as we’re together.”

She smiled up at him.  “I believe we can.”  Sliding her arms around his waist, she leaned into him for a hug.

Bastien held her for many long moments, so f***ing glad they were together.  He would do anything for her.  Anything.
If you're new to the series, Bastien was the villain in Darkness Dawns (Book 1) and the hero of Phantom Shadows (Book 3).  I think he'll continue to have a strong role in the series.  He's just such a fun character to write.  :-)

Have a fantastic weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday #124

Finally!  Whew!  This has not been the best week for me, but I did get some awesome news.

Darkness Rises has been nominated for Best Paranormal Romance in the Affaire de Coeur Reader/Writer Poll!  Thank you so much, everyone who nominated it!  I'm very excited!  :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  In honor of the nomination, I thought I would give you another quote from Darkness Rises, Immortal Guardians Book 4.  Today's selection features Roland Warbrook.  For those who aren't familiar with the series:  Roland is the hero of the first book, Darkness Dawns, and remains a strong secondary character in the ensuing books.
Roland leaned forward.  “Any secret you share with us will be guarded with our lives.  Should anyone here betray you, I will take care of him or her myself.”
The pledge may have surprised everyone present, but none doubted the veracity of it.  Roland may be antisocial and grumble, but he could be ruthless when defending a loved one and was a man any warrior would feel fortunate to have guarding his back.
You'll get a glimpse of Roland's strong leadership abilities in Night Unbound (September 2).  ;-)

Have a great weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday #123

Happy Friday!  Whew, what a week!  Even the weather was crazy!  The meteorologists forecast a low of 35, and I instead woke up to temps in the 20s and half a dozen dead plants on my patio.  Very frustrating . . . as is the snow many of you keep getting,  I'm sure.  I hope you're staying warm!

I have a few contests going on this month that I thought I'd mention.

First, I'm giving away an Immortal Guardians swag pack over on my facebook page.  This is a flash contest and will only last until tonight, so hop on over and enter today if you get a chance.  The contest is open to international entries.  :-)

I'm also giving away a signed copy of Phantom Shadows, Immortal Guardians Book 3 + lots of Immortal Guardians swag over at Fresh Fiction.  This contest lasts through March 31st.  (I still can't believe it's already March!  September is going to be here in an instant!)  You can enter HERE.

Finally, I'm participating in The Romance Reviews 3rd Anniversary Party.   I believe, at last count, over 450 prizes are up for grabs, including a signed copy of Darkness Rises, Immortal Guardians Book 4.  You can learn more HERE.  :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  For today's selection, I've chosen a quote from Darkness Rises.   It features Étienne (the hero), who is speaking to Krysta (the heroine):

Shaking his head, he motioned for the door.  “Let’s get out of here before I do something that will embarrass you in front of your brother.”

This actually reminds me of a scene in Night Unbound that makes me laugh every time I read it.   I can't wait to start giving you quotes from that one!  ;-)

Have a wonderful weekend!
