Happy Friday! I realized today that this week marked the tenth anniversary of the release of my first book, Darkness Dawns: Immortal Guardians Book 1.

There are now 10 novels and 2 novellas in my Immortal Guardians series, 2 novels in The Gifted Ones series, and I just released the 2nd book in my exciting new Aldebarian Alliance series. And every story is available in audio format as well. What a wonderful ride it's been. I can't wait to see where the next ten years will take me. :-)

I have been absolutely blown away by your responses to The Segonian. This is the first time one of my books has received over 700 ratings in just the first two weeks of its release. That is amazing!! Thank you so much!

Totally Addicted to Reading gave The Segonian a fantastic review.

Here's another quote from it:

"Spending time with Eliana proved a delightful experience... She was courageous, resourceful, strong, honest, outspoken and knows how to roll with the punches. Several times throughout the story she had me laughing out loud. I enjoyed her interactions with Dagon and his crew members."

Flora's Musings gave it a wonderful review, too.

Here's another quote from it:

"A Stellar Adventure In This Sci-fi Romance Series.
I’m already a big fan of Dianne Duvall’s books but sci-fi is not my usual reading genre. However, I love Dianne’s writing style, the language she uses and the way she paces her plots.
I was drawn into this story and remained hooked throughout.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! Today I thought I would share a moment of levity in an action-packed scene from The Segonian:
____________________________

She raced for the closed door that led to the rest of the ship, trusting Dagon and the guys to take out whoever was left.

“Grenade, Eliana,” Dagon warned, his voice coming over the comm seconds before an e-grenade sailed past her shoulder.

It detonated as it hit the door.

Flames and sparks and hot air rushed toward her, but didn’t slow her at all as the grenade he’d lobbed blasted a substantial hole in the door.

“Thanks, babe,” she called as she dove through it.

A throat cleared. “Did she just call our commander babe?”

“Shut up,” Dagon retorted.

She laughed. “Would you like me to call him sugarboo instead?”

“Srul, yes,” Maarev responded as snickers carried over the comm.

More reviews have been rolling in for The Segonian. And I could not be more pleased. I'm so glad you're enjoying Eliana and Dagon's story! I love that so many readers who admit they don't usually like sci-fi or alien romances are enjoying it, too. Here are just a few of the fantastic reviews I've seen for The Segonian:

I'm a Voracious Reader gave it a fantastic review.

Here's another quote from it:

"I truly feel as if I sound like a broken record when I say how much I love Dianne Duvall’s Immortal Guardian world. And now she has added the Aldebarian Alliance series to it. All I can say is, Hot damn! Talk about mashing genres! Paranormal, romance, and sci-fi, Oh MY! Add humor, action, and some steamy nomminess and you get a dish that is more delicious than anything you could possibly ask for or want."

And Jeri's Book Attic gave it a wonderful review, too.

Here's another quote from it:

"[Dianne Duvall] can literally write about anything. She created the World around the Immortal Guardians, then the two historical romances about the Gifted Ones. FANTASTIC! I really love historical romances, so these two were perfect in every way. And now the SiFi-Romances. I never imagined that I would read a story that takes place on a spaceship. Only Dianne Duvall can do that. And what a story that was..."

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! Today I thought I would share another snippet that features Eliana and Dagon. I'll preface it by mentioning that Adaos is the Chief Medical Officer on the Segonian battleship Ranasura:
____________________________

“I told Adaos he could study me and I would share everything I know about the virus and my species with him if he would share something with me,” Eliana admitted.

Dagon crossed his arms over his chest. “And what might that be?”

Pink crept up her neck and filled her cheeks as she shuffled her feet, looking sheepish as srul, and muttered something he couldn’t hear.

“What?”

Emitting a growl of her own, she spoke louder. “Information on Segonian courtship rituals and the societal do's and don'ts that surround them." She peeked up at him through long dark lashes as though trying to gauge his reaction.

Everything within him went still. “Segonian courtship rituals?” he repeated softly. “Why would you wish to know more about that?”

She sighed. “Because I couldn’t find anything about it in your informational databases, and I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.” Reaching up, she rested her small hands on his stubbled cheeks, then rose onto her toes and drew him down for a kiss.

His heart stuttered to a halt, then began to slam against his ribs. The first gentle brush of her lips hit him like an electrical current. His breath caught. Hers did, too. She drew back a fraction to stare up at him with wide eyes that acquired an amber glow.

Then Dagon slid his arms around her and locked her against him. Dipping his head, he claimed her lips with greater urgency, letting her feel the heat that had been flaying him inside ever since she had walked onto his bridge, fully recovered from her wounds, and drawn him into a hug.
____________________________

I'm so incredibly thrilled that my voyage into space is making so many readers and audiobooklovers laugh and cheer for these two. They were such a fun couple to write.

If you haven't read or listened to it yet, I hope you'll enjoy Eliana and Dagon's story!

Take care and happy reading!

After Beth and her brother are both seriously injured, a mysterious figure suddenly looms over her. And, when the smoke clears, Beth finds herself not only in another place, but in another time.

As Lord Robert, Earl of Fosterly, attempts to identify and track down the nameless enemy who has been plaguing his lands and people with violence, the most peculiar woman stumbles into his path. It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! Only a week and a half to go until Seth's book releases! I'm so excited!! Some of the reviewers I sent ARCs to have begun to share snippets of their reviews with me... and they are awesome!! I'll share some with you soon. Until then, I thought I would offer you another sneak peek into the pages of Death of Darkness that will give you a glimpse of Seth and Leah:
He took so much upon himself to try to spare others. When she would’ve loosened her hold to look up at him, Seth tightened his arms around her.
“Let me hold you a little longer,” he whispered.
Nodding, she relaxed against him.
Several minutes passed while they just held each other.
“You make everything better, Leah,” he murmured.
Warmth burrowed through her chest, straight to her heart. “You do, too.”
Have a wonderful weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday

Happy Friday!  I've been diligently working on Aidan's book—Immortal Guardians Book 7—this week.  I always enjoy spending time with my Immortal Guardians family.  And I had another one of those moments when something happened in a scene that made me think, "Ooh, cool.  I totally didn't expect that!"  :-)

I just love being a pantser.  So many interesting things would never have happened in my stories if I had carefully plotted them out before writing them.

Incidentally, a lot of readers have been asking me when the next Immortal Guardians book will release.  I've gone indie now, so I won't have an exact release date for Aidan's book until about three months prior to the release.  But I'm thinking it will release in Summer 2017.  I hope you'll enjoy it!

New reviews have been pouring in for both books in The Gifted Ones series.  I was so thrilled by them that I wanted to share a few with you.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Since Aidan has been on my mind so much, I thought today I would share a scene from Shadows Strike—Immortal Guardians Book 6 (can be read as a stand-alone novel)—that features him.  For those who haven't read the book, I thought I would mention that little Adira is the daughter of Aidan's friends.  In this scene, Aidan is trying to protect her from their enemy.  :-)
______________________________________

Aidan tugged his coat closed around the baby wailing against his chest and teleported to Telfer, Western Australia.

“It’s okay, little one,” he murmured as he instantly teleported again to Svalbard, Norway. “It’s okay. Uncle Aidan will keep you safe.”

He took her to Motuo, China. Then to La Rinconada, Peru. Easter Island. Kosaka, Japan.

He spent mere seconds in each destination before he moved on, fearing Gershom would appear at any moment and try to tear the babe from his arms.

Aidan vowed he would die before he let the Other have her.

In McMurdo, Antarctica, he began to croon a song his mother had sung to him when he was a boy. It took them through Colmar, France. Kiffa, Mauritania. Burano, Italy. Monsanto, Portugal.

The babe ceased weeping in Bibury, England.

Her breath stopped hiccupping in Mombasa, Kenya.

Her little head began to bob with weariness in Meissen, Germany.

She fell asleep in Salta, Argentina.

When it comes to Aidan, I think readers have mentioned this scene and the "Lotto" scene in Night Unbound more than any others.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!
