Exciting Immortal Guardians News

Happy Friday!  I haven't posted in quite a while, so I have a lot of news to share with you.

If you haven't heard the news yet . . . I finished Seth's book! Woohoo!! Those of you who told me the longer the better will be happy to hear it came in at a whopping 620 pages. LOL! I don't have a release date for you and may not for a while. I still have to get through edits, copyedits, and proofreading, all of which will take a little longer because of the length of the manuscript. And Tantor Audio may then need longer to produce the audiobook. I'll announce the release date as soon as I have one.

I really love Seth and his heroine together. 😉

I have more exciting news: Audible chose Awaken the Darkness (my latest release) as one of the Top 5 Best Paranormal Romance Audiobooks of 2018! It was such a wonderful surprise! I love Stanislav and Susan together, so I was thrilled to see them make the list.

A l'aube des ténèbres and La nuit règne — the French Translations of Darkness Dawns and Night Reigns — are now available in ebook format.

Even more exciting — both are burning up the Amazon.fr bestseller lists. I'm so pleased by the responses the books are getting. 😊

Another fun surprise: Lisette, the heroine of Night Unbound, made Romance Rehab's Ultimate Badass Romance Heroines List! I love strong heroines. So do the heroes in all of my books. ðŸ˜‰ But Lisette had to be particularly badass to risk so much and evoke such a change in Zach. I love those two together.

I thought I would mention for the audiobook lovers out there who might not have heard that both Rendezvous with Yesterday (The Gifted Ones Book 2) and Blade of Darkness (Immortal Guardians Book 7) contained Bonus Scenes at the end that were not included in the audiobooks. If you would like to read them, I've posted both in my Books Group on Facebook. You can find them under "Files" in the group.

While I tend to spend more time in my Books Group, I still post on my Facebook Author Page. I think Facebook now only allows 1—2% of those who have Liked a Page to see its posts. So here are a few posts you might have missed:

Looks like Sheldon is homeschooling again . . .

Adira if she could shape-shift . . .

Um . . . no. I would not do this. Would you?

Call me crazy, but I love seeing people happy . . .

What Sheldon does when he should be working . . .

This reminded me of Roland. 😃 And Bastien. And Zach . . .

I love this . . .

I don't know why this reminded me of Zach. 😃

I also announced Seth's book and the French releases and held a Swag Pack Giveaway. 😊

That's all for now. I hope your 2019 is going well so far. I can't believe it's already April.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Friday!  I have something exciting to share with you:

The cover of Phantom Embrace!  Woohoo!!  If this is your first time hearing about it, Phantom Embrace is the Immortal Guardians novella I wrote for the On the Hunt anthology.  It will be released as a solo novella on June 28, 2016, tells Yuri's story, and is now available for pre-order.  I've been so pleased by the reviews it has received, so I hope you'll pre-order a copy if you haven't read it yet.  It's only $1.99!  :-)

I had to drop offline for a bit.  And when I came back, I was very happy to discover that Shadows Strike made several Top 10 and Best Books of 2015 lists:

I had such fun writing Ethan and Heather's story.  I'm glad so many readers are enjoying it.  Thank you so much!

I also made Amorous Reads Top 10 New-To-Me Authors of 2015 list with my Immortal Guardians series.  :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I've been getting a lot of requests for Aidan's story, so I thought today I would give you a mini-excerpt from Shadows Strike that features him.  For those who haven't read Night Unbound or Shadows Strike, Aidan is a nearly 3,000-year-old immortal who is searching for a woman who can love him and banish his loneliness.  :-)

Seth closed his eyes and did a quick mental search for Aidan. Once he found him, Seth touched Bastien’s and Cliff’s shoulders and teleported them to the Celt’s side.

Aidan smiled at them, a tire iron held in one hand. “I thought I felt a disturbance in the force.”

Cliff laughed.

Bastien smiled.

Seth shook his head. “What have you been doing?”

Aidan held up the tire iron. “Helping a lovely woman change a flat tire.”

Bastien arched a brow. “A lovely gifted one?”

“As it happens, yes.”

Seth sighed. “Did you flatten her tire, Aidan?”

“Yes, I did,” the nearly three-thousand-year-old immortal admitted without remorse.

I'll be spending this weekend with Robert, Bethany, and a teenaged Marcus (Rendezvous With Yesterday).  I hope you'll have a fun weekend, too!

Favorite Quote Friday #20

Happy Friday!  This has been such a fun week!  I've been participating in the My Book Boyfriend Giveaway Hop and it has pretty much obliterated my determination not to add any more books to my TBR pile.  :-)  I'm giving away the winner's choice of either a signed copy of Darkness Dawns or a signed copy of Night Reigns + Immortal Guardians swag for it.  And there are many other prizes up for grabs at the other Giveaway Hop stops, so – if you join the fun – I hope you'll win lots of goodies!

There is also still time to enter my contests at EBookObsessed and Vampire Book Club.  The first is open through today.  The second is open through the 6th.  I'm giving away a singed book and swag at each.

News
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I received some fabulous news this week.  Night Reigns, the second book in my Immortal Guardians series, has been nominated for Book of the Month by Long and Short Reviews.  The poll goes live at Midnight on Saturday, February 4th and ends at Midnight on Sunday, February 5th.  You can cast your vote here.
The good news didn't stop there.  :-)  Darkness Dawns, the first book in my Immortal Guardians series, has been nominated for Best Book of 2011 or Book of the Year by Long and Short Reviews.  It received a Best Book review just before its release in February 2011:
"Action-packed world building and a hero daring all for
love makes Darkness Dawns one of the most fascinating
romances I’ve read this year.  I am so enthusiastic about
this story because of its humor, passion and an
interesting take on the vampire myth."
What an honor!  Voting begins on February 16th and will continue through February 29th.
Favorite Quote Friday
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Now on to Favorite Quote Friday.  Today's selection is taken from Darkness Dawns.  It is a narrative quote plucked from the thoughts of Roland, the hero:

She wouldn’t let him?  She, a five-foot-one inch, ninety-five
pound mortal female, wouldn’t let him, a six-foot-two inch
immortal sporting two hundred pounds of muscle--
Ah, screw it.
~ Roland ~

For a supposedly surly, antisocial immortal, Roland sure has made me smile a lot while writing and editing the series.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!
