Phantom Shadows

Immortal Guardians Book 3

Amazon •• Kindle • Barnes and Noble •• Nook

Dr. Melanie Lipton is no stranger to the supernatural.  She knows immortals better than they know themselves, right down to their stubborn little genes.  So although a handsome rogue immortal seems suspicious to her colleagues, Sebastien Newcombe intrigues Melanie.  His history is checkered, his scars are impressive, and his ideas are daring.  But it’s not his ideas that have Melanie fighting off surges of desire . . .
Bastien is used to being the bad guy.  In fact, he can’t remember the last time he had an ally he could trust.  But Melanie is different – and under her calm, professional exterior he senses a passion beyond anything in his centuries of experience.  Giving in to temptation is out of the question – he can’t put her in danger.  But she isn’t asking him . . .

"All right.  All right.  Settle down.  We're all
glad Sarah stabbed Bastien in the ass."
~ Seth ~

"Boy, do not make me chase you."
~ Bastien ~

"Dude, I say go for it," Sheldon said as he strolled down the hall toward them,
"Dr. Lipton is smokin' hot and you're . . . you."
~ Sheldon ~

"If you tell me you have two gifts and one of the is X-ray vision, I'm going to have to hurt you."
~ Melanie ~

"I'm not even going to ask."
~ Seth ~

"Wow.  You really have a knack for making friends with antisocial bastards, don't you?"
~ Sheldon ~

A teasing smile curved her lips. “So you stare at my breasts?”
“Yes,” he said, returning her smile, and shook his head in bafflement. “And for some reason, admitting that makes me feel like a naughty school boy caught peeking up his teacher’s skirt.”
    “Cool.”
~ Melanie and Bastien ~

    3. Are you writing the fourth book to the series. And will hints in the Phantom Shadow for who's story is coming next like in the last books.

    4. I'm writing the fourth book now. I'm not sure if you'll be able to guess who the hero is after reading Phantom Shadows. You learn more about the hero of Book 4 in it, but the heroine doesn't appear in Phantom Shadows. She pretty much surprises everyone when she bursts onto the scene in Book 4. You also learn more about the hero of Book 5 in Phantom Shadows, so it might keep you guessing. ;-)

  7. Hi Dianne

I just finished Phanthom Shadows and absolutely loved it. I loved Bastian from the beginning knowing that he would turn out good or at least be in more books. But now I have a lot of questions on my hands and don't know where to ask. Do you have a forum that I'm missing? My main question is Zach, are we going to see a lot more of him?

Well thanks and I look forward to many more books.

    1. Hi, Amy! I'm so glad you liked Phantom Shadows! I don't have a forum. Usually anyone with questions just posts them on my facebook page. I often get behind on emails and even on my blog when I'm busy blog touring and promoting a release or when I'm writing furiously to meet a deadline, but I try to find a few minutes to pop in to facebook at least every other day, so that's really the best place. I'll answer questions here, it just may take me longer. :-)

You WILL be seeing more of Zach. He's like Bastien and Ami. His character surprised me by going in a direction I didn't expect and I'm eager to explore it. :-)

Again, I'm so glad you're enjoying the series!

    2. Thank you so much Dianne for writing back, it means so much. I truly just love your books and can't wait for the next one to come out.

Now I am glad we will get to see Zack hopefully because his interaction with Seth and then Ami had me wondering about him and then wanting more, much more.

Thank you again and talk to you soon.

  8. Fantastic third book. Can't wait for more. I stumbled upon Darkness Dawns quite by accident awhile back and... well... let's just say that it was a wonderful accident. I've been totally hooked on the series ever since. I love all the characters but I think my fave is Seth. I like Bastien too, but Seth I simply ADORE! Having pinned him up there like that though doesn't take away from the others. They are all adorable in their own way.

  9. So glad you are back Dianne. Missed you. Hope work will help you deal with your situation. We don't want to lose you now. Your books are great. Amazon published my thoughts on Phantom Shadows and they emailed me to say that a few people hit on it and bought the book. I'm disabled and look what I can do. Love you.
