Favorite Quote Friday #79

Happy Friday!  Only a week and a half to go until Predatory is released!  Woohoo!  To pass the time between now and then . . .

I'm holding another contest on facebook.  Just head over, like my facebook page, and leave a comment on the contest post to enter to win a signed copy of Predatory + Immortal Guardians swag!  I'll use to choose a winner.  :-)

Reading in Pajamas gave Predatory a great 4-star review!  Here's what she said about "In Still Darkness", my Immortal Guardians novella:

"I enjoyed this story! The action was intense, the romance steamy and the camaraderie was enjoyable. I’m already a fan of the Immortal Guardians series and this was a nice addition."

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Today's selection is taken from "In Still Darkness," my novella that tells Richart's story.  Jenna, the heroine, is a single mother, who is struggling to put her son John through college.  Today's selection is spoken by John:

"Is this going to get weird?  Like kinky weird?"

I like John.  He reminds me a bit of Sheldon, with whom he butts heads in the story.  ;-)

Have a great weekend!  And good luck in the contest if you enter it!

Favorite Quote Friday #78

Hi, all!  Are you as glad as I am that it's Friday?  Every week seems to get busier and busier.  And every weekend seems to get shorter.  :-)

Dunkler Zorn, the German translation of Night Reigns, Immortal Guardians Book 2, was released last week.  Ausgezeichnet! Ich hoffe, der Leser in Deutschland genießen es!  (Excellent! I hope readers are enjoying it in Germany!)

I'm participating in Brenda Novak's Annual Online Auction for Diabetes Research again this year!  You can find my listing HERE.  One bidder will win the goodies pictured above.  All four books will be signed to the winner.  The swag includes a cover flat for each book in the series, postcards, bookmarks, and trading cards.  The auction begins on May 1st and continues through May 31st.

It's time again for Favorite Quote Friday!  Since there are only two and a half weeks left until Predatory is released, I chose a quote from "In Still Darkness," my Immortal Guardians novella in the anthology, for today's selection.  Those of you who are familiar with the series know that Sheldon is Richart's young Second (human assistant/guard).  He tends to bring a little comic relief with him wherever he goes.  :-)  Here's a quote from him:

"Dude, vampires threaten to feed me my own entrails all the time.  You're going to have to come up with something better than that."

Aside from Ami, who didn't appreciate his putting Marcus in danger in Night Reigns, very little seems to phase him.  :-)

Have a nice weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday #77

Happy Friday!
October 1, 2013

I've spent the past week reading back through Darkness Rises, Immortal Guardians Book 4, and going over the copyedits.  Now I can't wait until it's released!  :-)  I've also been writing down some favorite quotes as I go, which I will eventually begin to post here as the release date approaches.  :-)

More reviews have been rolling in for Predatory, the anthology that contains my Immortal Guardians novella In Still Darkness, as well as stories by Alexandra Ivy, Nina Bangs, and Hannah Jayne.  I'm so pleased and excited by the responses it's getting!

RT Book Reviews gave Predatory 4 stars - HOT!

"These four fabulous authors give us lovely little tastes of their vampire worlds.  These stories will be especially appealing to fans of the various series that these shorts fit into.  It is always fun to get an additional glimpse into our favorite universes."
Night Owl Reviews gave Predatory 4.5 stars and declared it a Top Pick!  Here's a quote from the review:

"Pick up this awesome anthology. All the stories are great and sure to entice you into searching out more books by these authors. If you enjoy paranormal romance these are sure to please."
Tome Tender gave Predatory a fabulous 4.5 star review.  Here's a quote from the review:

"What happens when you take 4 of my favorite paranormal romance writers and put their novella length stories together in a book called Predatory…you get an magnificent read. Each story was fan-freakin’-tastic, riveting and long enough to suck you completely in. This anthology is a great way to try out each of these author’s series, but for fans it gives you a grand snippet of adventures we’ve come to love."

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  There are only three weeks to go before Predatory's release, so I chose a quote from my novella In Still Darkness for today's selection.  The heroine — Jenna McBride — is someone readers have not encountered previously in my Immortal Guardians series.  She's a single mother, who is struggling to put her son John through college.  In the following quote, John is speaking to Sheldon, Richart's Second:

"Really?  You're going to put that image in my head?"

As some of you know, Sheldon's character has really grown on me.  I had fun expanding his role in In Still Darkness and in Darkness Rises.  :-)

Have a great weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday #76

Hi, all!  Can you believe it's Friday already?  This week really flew past!

Only a month to go before the release of Predatory — the anthology that includes "In Still Darkness" (an Immortal Guardians novella) — on May 7th!  Woohoo!  I'm so excited!  The reviews are already beginning to roll in.  I posted a couple last week by Publishers Weekly and Happy Ever After is so Once Upon a Time and found another just last night:

Boekie's Book Reviews gave Predatory 4 out of 5 diamonds and advised readers to "Try Predatory—a fun read with great characters."  :-)

I'm almost finished planning my Predatory Blog Tour, which will have a giveaway at every stop.  :-)  A big thanks to all of the bloggers who will be participating!

I also just gave away another signed Predatory ARC + Immortal Guardians swag to a member of my Street Team.  There's a drawing every month into which all active members are automatically entered.  If you'd like to join (you decide how active you'd like to be) or learn more, click on the button below.  :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Since my news this week all centered around Predatory, I thought I would give you your first sneak peak into "In Still Darkness."  If you're familiar with my Immortal Guardians series, "In Still Darkness" tells Richart's story.  If you aren't familiar with the series, Richart is a two-century-old immortal (born with the ability to teleport), who has an identical twin as handsome as he is.  ;-)  Here are the first two sentences:

Like the last survivor in a post-apocalyptic world, Richart d'Alençon strode down the deserted North Carolinian street.  Buildings long since abandoned for the night stared out at him with vacant eyes.

I'm off now to go over Darkness Rises copyedits.  Have a wonderful weekend!
