Favorite Quote Friday—Rendezvous with Yesterday

Happy Friday!  Only two and a half weeks to go until the release of Rendezvous with Yesterday!  Woohoo!!  I had a lot of fun creating a Rendezvous with Yesterday Dream Cast for one of my upcoming Blog Tour stops.  I usually don't have any trouble with those.  But this one ended up being a bit of a challenge, because I just couldn't picture many of the actors I like in a medieval setting.  :-)  But I like the cast I constructed and hope you will, too.

If you're a blogger and would like to join the fun, there's still time to sign up for the tour.  I'll be giving one lucky blogger a $25 Amazon Gift Card.  :-)  You can sign up HERE.

I also sent some goodies to the latest contest winners this week.  :-)  If you've pre-ordered Rendezvous with Yesterday, don't forget to enter my ongoing Pre-Order Giveaway.  And for more giveaways, join me on My Facebook Page.

EBookObsessed surprised me with a wonderful author spotlight.  I've been visiting Lucy's blog since early 2012 or thereabouts and look forward to doing so again for the tour.  I love that she's particularly fond of Bastien and Zach, because those are two of my favorite Immortal Guardians. Bad boys who don't give a fig about the rules and couldn't care less what others think of them (except the women they love, of course) are so much fun to write.  ;-)  Here's a link to the Author Spotlight.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Today I thought I would give fans of both The Gifted Ones and Immortal Guardians series a glimpse of Seth in Rendezvous with Yesterday:
The trees in front of them parted to reveal a large, sleek black vehicle with windows tinted as dark as the body.
"You drive a van?" Beth asked, somewhat surprised.
"Yes."  Pulling the keys from his back pocket, Seth pressed a button that disabled the alarm and unlocked the doors.  "Why?  What were you expecting?"
"An SUV.  Or maybe a sports car."
He shrugged.  "This serves my purpose better."
"Mm-hmm.  That purpose wouldn't by any chance include sneaking in some afternoon romps in the back with your ladylove, would it?" she teased.
Seth laughed.  "Alas, it does not."

I don't think Seth intimidates Bethany as much as he does other mortals.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Rendezvous with Yesterday—Favorite Quote Friday #123

Happy Friday!!  I've had a busy, yet productive week.  My formatter has been hard at work on Rendezvous with Yesterday and has delivered a lovely print book file for my perusal.  I also made some teaser images and chose some entertaining excerpts for my Rendezvous with Yesterday Blog Tour while Sheldon got started on his character interviews.  And . . .

Look what came in the mail—my Rendezvous with Yesterday swag!  Isn't it pretty?  The other side of both the tote bag and the coffee mug features the first book in The Gifted Ones series, A Sorceress of His Own.  And the tote bags are great.  I've been using an Immortal Guardians tote bag like this for over a year now and it still looks like new.

By the way, I'll be giving some of this and more away to lucky winners in my ongoing Rendezvous With Yesterday Pre-Order Giveaway as more pre-orders roll in.  These are the prizes I've already given away:

I'm about halfway to my pre-order goal.  (I love that I have access to the numbers now as an indie author.)  If I reach that goal, I will give a randomly selected winner a $75 Amazon Gift Card.  If you plan to read Robert and Bethany's story, I hope you will pre-order and enter to win!  And if you've already pre-ordered it (Thank you!  Pre-orders are so important to authors!), don't forget to enter.  All you have to do is fill out this form:

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Less than a month now until Rendezvous with Yesterday releases!  Woohoo!!  Today I thought I would give fans of both The Gifted Ones and Immortal Guardians series another glimpse of Marcus as a teenaged squire.  In this scene, he is helping Bethany (the heroine of Rendezvous With Yesterday) train with a sword:
Her breath coming in gasps, Beth called a halt and tugged off her helmet.  "Whew!  I could use a break."
Marcus smiled and lowered his sword.  "You did very well, my lady."
"Oh, please.  You're barely out of breath."
He shook his head.  "Your skills are advancing far more quickly than mine did.  The other squires are envious."
Tucking her helmet under her arm, she waved her free hand.  "You're just saying that because you heard me tell Robert that flattery would get him everything."
He laughed.  "Were I to admit to such, my lady, Lord Robert would have my head."
"Among other things."  Grinning, Beth motioned to the mass of sweating, straining, grunting bodies to her right.  "Go find yourself another victim while I rest for a bit."
"As you wish."
Have a wonderful weekend!

Rendezvous with Yesterday—Favorite Quote Friday #122

Happy Friday!  Just over a month to go until the release of Rendezvous With Yesterday!  And that means . . .

It's time to plan my Rendezvous With Yesterday Blog Tour.  There will be exclusive excerpts, author interviews, guest posts, Top 5 lists, perhaps a character interview or two (Sheldon is pondering who he wants to interview and what questions he wants to ask), a tour-wide giveaway, and more.  If you're a blogger and would like to join the fun, you can sign up here:

I'd like to send a big Thank You! out to the bloggers who have already signed up, as well as to those who intend to.  This will be my 10th blog tour.  Some of you have joined me on every single tour since my very first.  It has been so nice to have you accompany me on my journey.  :-)

Congratulations to the latest winner in my Rendezvous with Yesterday Pre-Order Contest!

Susan Young

Hurray!!  I'll be randomly selecting more winners up until the book releases on October 17th.  So if you haven't entered, here's a link:

Thank you so much, everyone who has pre-ordered Robert and Bethany's story!  Pre-Orders are so important to authors.  All pre-orders count toward first week sales, and bestseller lists are compiled based on a single week's sales.  The more pre-orders there are, the higher a book's chances are of hitting the bestseller lists.  And hitting those lists builds buzz and helps authors reach new readers.

So if you plan to read Rendezvous With Yesterday and haven't pre-ordered it yet, I hope you will consider doing so.  :-)

Reminder:  If you pre-order the eBook, you save $1!

I thought I would answer another question a reader posed this week that is similar to several others I've received since announcing Rendezvous With Yesterday's upcoming release.

Q:  I loved Dillon and Alyssa in A Sorceress of His Own.  Will we see them again in Rendezvous with Yesterday?

A:  Yes, you will.  Both Alyssa and Dillon (Robert's older brother) appear in Rendezvous With Yesterday.  In fact, Dillon is a primary player in one of my favorite scenes.  I posted a brief excerpt of it when I revealed the book's cover.  :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I love that readers are looking forward to seeing Alyssa and Dillon again.  So today I thought I would share a quote from Rendezvous With Yesterday that features Beth (the heroine) and Alyssa (the heroine of A Sorceress of His Own, The Gifted Ones Book 1).  Robert and Dillon are also present.
Beth offered Alyssa a tentative smile.  "Maybe we could start over?  I promise—once we tell you everything—you can touch me all you want."
All eyebrows flew up.
Beth groaned.  "Wait.  That didn't come out right."
Sometimes dealing with gifted ones can be a bit tricky.  ;-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday—Rendezvous With Yesterday

Happy Friday!  Less than a month and a half to go now until the October 17th release of Rendezvous With Yesterday   I'm so excited!  I got the proofs back from my proofreader this week and was thrilled to hear that she adored Robert and Bethany's story and is now jonesing for the first book in the series.  Hooray!!  I don't use beta readers, so I tend to get pretty nervous as a book release approaches, waiting for the first feedback to come in.  :-)

This is a segment I began recently in which I choose a question I'm frequently asked by readers and answer it.  One I've been getting recently is:

Q:  Is the Bethany in Rendezvous With Yesterday the same Bethany from Marcus's past?

A:  Yes.  For those who haven't read my Immortal Guardians series, Marcus is one of the primary characters in it.  He is, in fact, the hero of Night Reigns, Immortal Guardians Book 2, in which we learn that a woman named Bethany was a prominent figure in his past, as was a man named Robert.  Bethany and Robert are the heroine and hero of Rendezvous With Yesterday, The Gifted Ones Book 2.  You'll see Marcus in it too, as Robert's teenaged squire.  He made a brief appearance in A Sorceress of His Own, The Gifted Ones Book 1, but has a larger role in this book.  I hope you'll enjoy it!

It's almost time to choose another winner in my Rendezvous With Yesterday Pre-Order Contest.  Next up is an Amazon Gift Card.  Additional prizes will follow—signed books and swag, tote bags, coffee mugs, flashlight keychains, more Amazon Gift Cards, etc.  I'll randomly select winners up until release day.  So, if you're planning on purchasing Rendezvous With Yesterday in ebook, you might want to pre-order it now (you'll save $1 if you do, because I've discounted the price for the pre-order period) and enter the contest.  All you have to do is fill out this form:It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I thought today I would give you another sneak peek that features Bethany and Robert:

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I thought today I would give you another sneak peek that features Bethany and Robert:
“Come here and give me another kiss.”
Grinning, he obliged.
It began simply, but she was so damned tempting that he could not seem to prevent himself from ravaging her lips with a hunger reminiscent of the long night they had just passed.
Until duty reasserted itself and forced him to draw back.
Beth moaned her disappointment.  “Why don’t you take your clothes off and join me?  These sheets will get warmer a lot faster if you and I create a little friction.”
He laughed.  “No doubt they would.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday #120—Rendezvous With Yesterday

Happy Friday!  I've been busy designing more swag for Rendezvous With Yesterday.  Yay!  You'll see it start to pop up in giveaways once I have it all in hand.  :-)  And speaking of giveaways . . .

Congratulations to the third winner in my Rendezvous With Yesterday Pre-Order Contest:

Joanne Ozment

There will be more prizes—Amazon Gift Cards, signed books and swag, tote bags, coffee mugs, flashlight keychains, etc—given to randomly chosen winners between now and October 17th.  So, if you're planning on purchasing Rendezvous With Yesterday in ebook, you might want to pre-order it now (you'll save $1 if you do) and enter the contest.  All you have to do is fill out this form:

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Only a little over a month and a half to go until the release of Rendezvous With Yesterday.  Woohoo!!  I thought today I would give you a sneak peek that includes Dillon and Alyssa, the hero and heroine of A Sorceress of His Own (The Gifted Ones Book 1).  If you haven't read that one yet, I'll preface this quote by telling you that Alyssa is—among other things—telepathic.

Beth extended her hand again.  “Do I just picture what I want you to see?”
“Aye, though I should warn you I may pick up other things along the way,” she cautioned.  “Things you may not wish me to see.  Things you think of often.”
Beth bit her lip.  That was a bit unsettling.  “Then I should probably warn you that you are likely to see a lot of Robert naked.”
Alyssa’s eyes widened as a blush climbed her cheeks.
Dillon released a bark of involuntary laughter.
When Beth glanced at Robert, his eyes twinkled as his lips stretched in a mischievous smile.
“You imagine me naked often, do you?” he murmured, toying with a lock of her hair.
Beth winked.  “Are you kidding?  You’re naked right now.”
Yep.  Beth would fit right in with my Immortal Guardian family.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!
