ARC reviews have begun to roll in for Shadows Strike, Immortal Guardians Book 6 (which will release on August 25th), and they are fantastic!!  I'm so excited!!  Even readers/reviewers who haven't read any of the other Immortal Guardians books are enjoying it!  Woohoo!!  So I've been doing happy dances all week.  :-)  Here are some snippets from a few:

"I really enjoyed Shadows Strike.  It's an interesting and completely engrossing story that will have you smiling one moment and biting your nails the next . . . I highly recommend Shadows Strike and the Immortal Guardians series to fans of paranormal romance."
—Parnormal Kiss

"This was a new author and new series for me and I truly enjoyed reading it.  The characters were great and the storyline kept you reading until the wee hours os the morning.  I could not put this book down.  Im looking forward to going back and reading #1 - #5 in the series . . ."
—Jennifer Crump

This may be my favorite book so far.  It had everything I want in a book and left me so excited for the next one!  If you haven't started this series, get the first one and catch up!  If you have then you won't be disappointed in this book - it's a fantastic story with all the characters you love, plenty of action, passion, romance, a few answered questions and some exciting clues about where the series is going!  I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could."

Reviews for A Sorceress of His Own, the first book in my new series The Gifted Ones, continue to pour in as well.

Jessica's Totally Over the Top Book Obsession gave it a fantastic 5-star review.  In addition to the awesome quote above, she said:

"I loved Dianne Duvall from the first book of hers that I picked up, Darkness Dawns from the Immortal Guardians series.  With each book of hers I have read my love has grown, and this book is no different.  Dianne Duvall continues to impress me with her writing.  Wow did I love this book!!!"

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  A lot of audiobook listeners have been asking if Shadows Strike will be available on Audible.  It will.  I don't think Audible allows pre-orders, but the audiobook (narrated by the talented Kirsten Potter) should become available on Release Day—August 25th.

I've also been hearing from paperback lovers.  Shadows Strike is now available for pre-order in paperback (as well as ebook).  I posted all the latest links above.  :-)  And I have another glimpse into its pages for you.  This scene takes place early in the novel and features Ethan and Heather (the hero and heroine) as well as Zach and Lisette (the hero and heroine of the previous book in the series, Night Unbound).  I'll preface it by telling those who haven't read the previous books that Zach has wings he can "tuck away" or make vanish at will.

Awkward silence engulfed them.
Ethan wasn’t sure he liked the way Heather was studying Zach.
Zach’s lips twitched.  “It isn’t what you’re thinking,” he told Heather, who blushed.
“What?” Ethan asked.
Zach nodded to the mortal in their midst.  “She’s still wondering what you wanted me to tuck away.”
Lisette and Ethan both laughed.
Have I mentioned that I love Zach and Lisette's role in this one?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dianne
