Giveaway News + Favorite Quote Friday

Happy Friday!  This has been a fun, productive week.

I finished going over Shadows Strike proofs and sent the pages that require corrections off to my publisher.  Woohoo!  Then I received the proofs for Phantom Embrace.  So now I start all over again.  lol

Phantom Embrace, you'll recall, is my novella that will be released in the On the Hunt anthology the same day as Shadows Strike:  August 25th.  It tells Yuri's story.  After what happened in Night unbound, I just had to write Yuri's story.  :-)

I also passed the 4,000 pre-order milestone with A Sorceress of His Own!  Hooray!!  So I chose another winner in my ongoing A Sorceress of His Own Pre-Order Extravaganza.  Congratulations, Tina Becker, winner of a $25 Amazon Gift Card!  I also mailed the prize pack to the first winner this week.

Giveaways still to come: a $50 Amazon Gift Card, a $75 Amazon Gift Card, and cool prize packs.  I'm giving away goodies every 500 pre-orders that come in before June 2nd to thank readers.  Pre-orders are so important.  So I appreciate every one.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Only a little over a month to go until A Sorceress of His Own, the first book in my new series The Gifted Ones, is released.  So I thought I would give you another peek into its pages today.  The following teaser features Alyssa and Dillon, the heroine and hero:
She simply did not know how to deal with him when he acted this way.  Less the fierce, commanding warrior she was accustomed to and more the buoyant young swain who was completely unfamiliar and far too appealing.
He leaned closer, eyes glittering.  “Ahh.  She blushes at compliments.  And so very prettily.”
The heat in her face increased.
“I shall have to compliment you often in order to make up for all the times your cowl hid your rosy cheeks from me in the past,” he murmured playfully.
Alyssa grabbed a pillow, the only weapon available to her, and hit him squarely in his smile.
Dillon laughed in delight.
Have I mentioned that Dillon reminds me of Zach?  I can't say why, because I don't want to spoil it, but . . . those two definitely have some things in common.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dianne
