Favorite Quote Friday #126

Happy Friday!

Look what came in the mail!  Night Unbound cover flats!  Aren't they pretty?  If the image isn't clear enough for you to read it, here's the blurb:
Dianne Duvall's Immortal Guardians protect humanity from unspeakable horrors—but their hearts are as fragile as any mortal's . . .
For centuries, Lisette d'Alençon has been a warrior against the dark.  She fights alongside her brothers and comrades.  But when the dreams start coming, she can't bear to confess them to the Immortal Guardians' command.  Dreams of a dark-haired man with soft eyes and brutal wounds, a man her heart aches for—and a man she knows has been declared a traitor.
Zach is an exile, a loner.  He won't defend himself against false accusations or grovel to those who should have faith in him.  But he'll damn sure defend the woman who kept him sane against a plague of super-vamps that seems to have appeared from nowhere.  The Guardians will blame him, and that will make Lisette suspect, too.  With life, death and eternity on the line, who can they really trust?
I've been getting  a lot of emails and messages, asking if Night Unbound will be available in e-book format.  It will.  It takes longer for the pre-order for those to appear, though.  I'll let you know as soon as I see them go up.   :-)

Night Unbound will also be available in audiobook format.

Coming September 2, 2014
Now available for Pre-Order in paperback!
Amazon • Barnes and Noble  Book Depository Books-A-Million

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I thought I'd give you another peek into the pages of Night Unbound, Immortal Guardians Book 5.  What comes directly before this is a bit of a spoiler, so I'll just tell you that Zach is holding Lisette tightly in his arms with his face buried in her neck.
“I don’t want to be left with nothing but a pile of your clothing, Lisette,” he murmured. “I don’t think I could handle it.” He fisted a hand in the back of her shirt. “I think I would lay waste to the world if I lost you.”
Tears burned her eyes. “I’m sorry.”
I love these two together and hope you will, too.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dianne

  1. Dianne, I noticed on one cover, Zach has blonde hair and the other, dark. Is there a reason for that?

    1. Hey, look at that! I didn't even notice. Lol. I have no idea why, but it looks like the one with the dark hair will be the final book cover. :-)

    1. Yay! I'm so glad you like Lisette! I don't think the audiobooks are available before the release dates. If there's such a thing as the audio equivalent of an ARC, I've never seen it. I'll be giving away paperback ARCs in contests, though, as the release date approaches. :-)

    1. Thanks, Michelle. I think Kirsten Potter is doing great job narrating. :-) I can't wait to hear what you think of Zach and Lisette's story!!

  5. Recently did you say you were writing a novella again? Or maybe a story within a anthology? If so, is it connected with the Immortal Guardian series?

    1. I did. :-) I'm writing a new novella for another anthology like Predatory that will include stories by Alexandra Ivy and Hannah Jayne. I think it will be released shortly before Immortal Guardians Book 6 in 2015. Right now I intend it to be part of my Immortal Guardians series. But I have a lot of novellas rambling around inside my head and there's always a slight chance I'll change my mind between now and the deadline. I'll let you know either way when I turn it in or am further into the manuscript. :-)
