Delve into New York Times bestselling author Dianne Duvall’s “utterly addictive” (RT Book Reviews), “fast-paced and humorous” (Publishers Weekly) Immortal Guardians series.

Seth has led the Immortal Guardians for thousands of years. With them fighting by his side, he has protected humans from psychotic vampires, defeated corrupt mercenary armies, defended military bases under attack, and more. But the latest enemy to rise against the Immortal Guardians has proven to be a formidable one, wielding almost as much power as Seth. His goal is simple. He wants to watch the world burn. And he will use every means at his disposal to accomplish it. Seth and his Immortal Guardians have succeeded thus far in staving off Armageddon despite heartbreaking losses. But they have never before faced such danger. Seth has only one wish: to protect his Immortal Guardians family and ensure the continuation of humanity by defeating his foe. But then Leah walks into his life and sparks a new desire.

Leah Somerson has suffered losses of her own. It has taken her a long time to rebuild her life and find some semblance of peace. Then one night a tall, dark, powerful immortal with what appears to be the weight of the world on his shoulders stumbles into her shop, and everything changes. Peace and contentment are no longer enough. Now she wants more. She wants to find happiness. She wants to erase the darkness in Seth’s eyes and replace it with love and laughter. She knows he’s different in ways that make most fear him. Even some of his immortal brethren keep a careful distance. But Leah will not. Nor will she shy away when danger strikes.

*For the paperback lovers out there: I've run into a hitch getting the paperback up on Amazon. An unexpected issue has arisen. The publisher is working to correct it now. So I hope it will go up soon. Sorry for the delay.

I always like to give you a peek into the pages on Release Day, so here is a brief excerpt of Death of Darkness that features Seth and Leah:

Still holding her hand, he led her into the bathroom and flipped on the light.

“Wow. You guys are loaded, aren’t you?” she asked as she looked around.

Again he laughed. “We’re very comfortable financially, yes.”

“Seriously, I could swim in that tub,” she said, admiring it. “I mean, I could lie down in the bottom of it, reach my arms above my head, and would barely be able to touch both ends.”

He shrugged. “David wanted to ensure I could stretch out in it comfortably.”

She turned her attention to the shower. “Ooh! Look how high the showerhead is. Awesome! I won’t have to duck down to rinse the shampoo out of my hair like I do in mine. Someone really short must have lived there before me.”

He grinned, loving how much she was loving his bathroom.

“And look.” Opening the shower door, she drew him in after her. The glass walls that enclosed them left plenty of elbow room. “It’s big enough for two,” she said with a wink.

He shook his head as his damned body responded to the image of the two of them naked in the shower. “Don’t tempt me.”

She wrinkled her nose. “Sorry. I said I wasn’t going to do that, didn’t I? Something about you just really brings out the flirt in me.” She led him out of the shower.

“Just me?” he couldn’t resist asking. Imagining her flirting with other men brought on an acidic surge of jealousy.

“Just you,” she confirmed, then leaned closer to whisper, “which is why I’m filing away the big-enough-for-two shower-and-tub thing for future reference.”

He laughed.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! Wow, this week went by quickly. ðŸ˜„ I can't believe it's already time to give you another peek into the pages of Death of Darkness. This one features Seth and Leah, the hero and heroine, with a visit from David, Seth's second-in-command:
"I trust I’m not interrupting anything,” David said, a twinkle of amusement lighting his dark eyes.
Seth smiled. “Correct. We were just resting. What’s up?”
“Would you and Leah mind meeting me in the study? There’s something I’d like to discuss with you.”
Seth opened the door wider. “Would you like to talk in here?”
David shook his head. “The study will do.” Turning, he strode away.
Curiosity rising, Seth closed the door.
“Just for future reference,” Leah said as she sat up, “I know I’m not shy, but I would rather not carry on conversations with your friends and family while I’m naked in bed.”
He winced. “Sorry about that. Force of habit. Usually when someone summons me or wishes to speak with me, time is a factor.”
Throwing back the covers, she rose. “That sucks. Don’t you get any downtime at all?”
As usual, his body instantly reacted to the sight of her naked curves. She was so damned beautiful. “What?”
“Don’t you get any downtime at all?”
How quickly did David need to speak with them? It hadn’t seemed urgent. He would’ve spoken to them here in the bedroom if that were the case. So maybe they had time to—
Leah’s laughter disrupted his thoughts.
Arching his eyebrows in question, Seth watched her approach. “What?”
Smiling, she rose onto her toes and looped her arms around his neck. “You are too adorable.”
Now Seth laughed. “I haven’t been described thusly since I was a babe in swaddling clothes.”
Still smiling, she rubbed her nose against his and pressed a kiss to his lips. “I love to see you laugh.”
He hugged her closer.
 Have a wonderful weekend!

Modern-day bounty hunter Bethany Bennett helps her brother track two fugitives to a forest outside of Houston, Texas. But what should have been a routine apprehension of two bail skippers spirals out of control and ends in violence. After Beth and her brother are both seriously injured, a mysterious figure suddenly looms over her. And, when the smoke clears, Beth finds herself not only in another place, but in another time.

As Lord Robert, Earl of Fosterly, attempts to identify and track down the nameless enemy who has been plaguing his lands and people with violence, the most peculiar woman stumbles into his path. Small, vulnerable, yet possessed of a bold, fiery spirit and wicked sense of humor, she persists in dubbing Robert and his men members of something called a medieval reenactment group . . . until she sees his castle and labels herself insane. It seems bounty hunter Bethany Bennett has come to him from the future, bringing with her laughter and chaos, swiftly winning the hearts of his people and inspiring within him a love he thought he would never experience again. But when Robert discovers a way for her to return to her time, will the love they share be enough to keep them together?

If you read my Immortal Guardians series,
but have never tried this one:

Seth and Marcus both appear in Rendezvous With Yesterday  Marcus (hero of Night Reigns, Immortal Guardians Book 2) is the mortal squire of the hero in this one. I loved seeing him as a teenager. ;-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! Only a week and a half to go until Seth's book releases! I'm so excited!! Some of the reviewers I sent ARCs to have begun to share snippets of their reviews with me... and they are awesome!! I'll share some with you soon. Until then, I thought I would offer you another sneak peek into the pages of Death of Darkness that will give you a glimpse of Seth and Leah:
He took so much upon himself to try to spare others. When she would’ve loosened her hold to look up at him, Seth tightened his arms around her.
“Let me hold you a little longer,” he whispered.
Nodding, she relaxed against him.
Several minutes passed while they just held each other.
“You make everything better, Leah,” he murmured.
Warmth burrowed through her chest, straight to her heart. “You do, too.”
Have a wonderful weekend!

When Ami rose and approached Seth, Lisette moved to stand behind her. Both appeared to have something on their minds.
Seth arched a brow. “What’s up?”
Ami caught and held his gaze. “You need a break.”
Lisette nodded. “And we’re here to ensure you take one.”
Seth frowned. “No, I don’t. I’m fine.”
“Bullshit,” Zach commented. “You’re exhausted.”
Marcus scowled at the elder. “Damn it, Zach, watch your language.”
Ami sighed. “Marcus, honey…”
“What?” He winced. “Oh. Right. Sorry, sweetling. Don’t say damn it, Adira.”
“Okay, Daddy,” Adira promised with a sweet smile.
Have a wonderful weekend!
