Catching Up

Greetings, all, and Happy Friday!  What a busy month this has been.  :-)  I'm very excited about how well Aidan's book is coming along.  I'm so glad I'm a pantser (a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants writer) instead of a plotter (someone who meticulously outlines each chapter of the book before writing it).  When I just let the writing take me where it will, things tend to happen that surprise even me.  And every once in a while, something will happen that unexpectedly ties in perfectly with an event that took place in Book 1, 2 or 3, as if it's just been sitting in the back of my subconscious, waiting for the right time to leap forward and take center stage.  I love that.

Congratulations to the winers of my four contests in The Romance Reviews' month-long 6th Anniversary Party:

Angeles G.
Samantha H.
Patricia P.
Tiana S.

I hope everyone who attended found exciting new reads, some new favorite authors, and won fun prizes.  :-)  I'm going to be participating in another multi-author event on Facebook next month and am looking forward to it.  I'll tell you more once I have all of the details.

The IRC (Indie Romance Convention) is now accepting Readers' Choice nominations for indie books published in 2016. If you enjoyed Rendezvous with Yesterday, I would appreciate it so much if you'd take a moment to nominate it.  (Time Travel Romance is the best category. Historical Romance is a second choice.)  You can do so HERE.

There are a LOT of categories, so if you'd like to show your support for other indie authors, too, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. :-)

I was thrilled to discover that Book Munchies gave Rendezvous with Yesterday (The Gifted Ones Book 2) a fantastic review:

(You can read the full review here.)

And more reviews have rolled in for Rendezvous with Yesterday on Amazon.  Here are some of the latest:

"Unbelievably WOW! I read this book at least twice and listened to the audio at least 4 times. I love this book. I did not realize that I forgot to put in a review. This is a well written story with a good plot that is so entertaining it just keeps you glued to the kindle. I cried, laughed and cheered. . . Excellent standalone. Excellent book."

"Wow and Wow again! I don't usually write reviews. With this book I felt that I had to. This is the best time travel book I have read so far. Well written, good historical research and modern day research too. Your characters, written words , and descriptions are so clear that I had trouble putting down this book and was sad when it ended."
—Kindle Customer

"I loved this story! I love learning about Beth after learning about her in Marcus' book! It was so cool to see him as he was and see the love of Beth and Robert. I laughed and cried during this story."
—Andi

"I so enjoyed reading about Robert and Bethany! I was very curious about their story when I read the Immortal guardian series. Big fan of Dianne Duvall's work and look forward to read more about Seth and David."
—Vampire lover

"I loved this book and even the extra at the end! The plot was great and characters were fantastic. Im definitely checking out the rest of her stuff!"

I thought I'd kickstart the weekend with a Giveaway, so I'll be offering up a couple of Immortal Guardians and The Gifted Ones Swag Packs over on my Facebook Page.  It will run from Friday through Sunday.

If you've liked my page, but aren't seeing my posts (thanks to Facebook's annoying algorithms), you're welcome to send a friend request to and/or follow my Personal Profile.  I usually mention all of my author page giveaways there (as well as the latest bits of news), so you'll be less likely to miss them.  Until then, here are some of the more popular posts you may have missed:

Some of these are older, because I forgot to mention them in my last blog post.  I also shared some videos that were well-liked, but can't remember how to give you a link to the videos on my page.  LOL.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Today I thought I'd share a quote from Rendezvous with Yesterday that Cyn mentioned in her review over at Book Munchies.  Robert (the hero) is speaking to Bethany (the heroine):

"'Tis necessary, this bra?" he asked cautiously.

LOL.  I love these two together.

It looks like I won't have time to start my newsletter until this summer.  I'm really trying to devote all the time I can to finishing Aidan's story.  So, for the time being, I'll continue to blog whenever I get a chance.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Dianne
