Updated Death of Darkness Links

Hello again, all! I hope you're enjoying your weekend. We're having the most wonderful cool, rainy, thunder-boomy day here. Perfect writing weather. 🙂

I want to send a big thank you out to those who let me know the ebook links weren't working in my last post. I ran into a glitch with Facebook that took all day to resolve, so I didn't even notice the glitch here. 😁 Below, you'll find links to most of the ebook sales sites where you can pre-order Seth's book, Death of Darkness. (I believe there are a few more international sites I haven't listed.) A lot of you have been asking about Audible. You probably won't be able to pre-order it on Audible until closer to the release date, perhaps in early August. I think they don't allow pre-orders to begin until they have the actual files in hand, and Tantor Audio and Kirsten Potter are still recording it.

Delve into the most eagerly anticipated book in New York Timesbestselling author Dianne Duvall’s “utterly addictive” (RT Book Reviews), “fast-paced and humorous” (Publishers Weekly) Immortal Guardians series.

Seth has led the Immortal Guardians for thousands of years. With them fighting by his side, he has protected humans from psychotic vampires, defeated corrupt mercenary armies, defended military bases under attack, and more. But the latest enemy to rise against the Immortal Guardians has proven to be a formidable one, wielding almost as much power as Seth. His goal is simple. He wants to watch the world burn. And he will use every means at his disposal to accomplish it. Seth and his Immortal Guardians have succeeded thus far in staving off Armageddon despite heartbreaking losses. But they have never before faced such danger. Seth has only one wish: to protect his Immortal Guardians family and ensure the continuation of humanity by defeating his foe. But then Leah walks into his life and sparks a new desire.

Leah Somerson has suffered losses of her own. It has taken her a long time to rebuild her life and find some semblance of peace. Then one night a tall, dark, powerful immortal with what appears to be the weight of the world on his shoulders stumbles into her shop, and everything changes. Peace and contentment are no longer enough. Now she wants more. She wants to find happiness. She wants to erase the darkness in Seth’s eyes and replace it with love and laughter. She knows he’s different in ways that make most fear him. Even some of his immortal brethren keep a careful distance. But Leah will not. Nor will she shy away when danger strikes.

Thank you, everyone who has expressed such excitement over the cover, the blurb, and the release date. I've been smiling and doing happy dances all weekend over your responses. And thank you, everyone who has already pre-ordered it. I hope you'll enjoy reading Seth's book as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Exciting Immortal Guardians News

Happy Friday!  I haven't posted in quite a while, so I have a lot of news to share with you.

If you haven't heard the news yet . . . I finished Seth's book! Woohoo!! Those of you who told me the longer the better will be happy to hear it came in at a whopping 620 pages. LOL! I don't have a release date for you and may not for a while. I still have to get through edits, copyedits, and proofreading, all of which will take a little longer because of the length of the manuscript. And Tantor Audio may then need longer to produce the audiobook. I'll announce the release date as soon as I have one.

I really love Seth and his heroine together. 😉

I have more exciting news: Audible chose Awaken the Darkness (my latest release) as one of the Top 5 Best Paranormal Romance Audiobooks of 2018! It was such a wonderful surprise! I love Stanislav and Susan together, so I was thrilled to see them make the list.

A l'aube des ténèbres and La nuit règne — the French Translations of Darkness Dawns and Night Reigns — are now available in ebook format.

Even more exciting — both are burning up the Amazon.fr bestseller lists. I'm so pleased by the responses the books are getting. 😊

Another fun surprise: Lisette, the heroine of Night Unbound, made Romance Rehab's Ultimate Badass Romance Heroines List! I love strong heroines. So do the heroes in all of my books. 😉 But Lisette had to be particularly badass to risk so much and evoke such a change in Zach. I love those two together.

I thought I would mention for the audiobook lovers out there who might not have heard that both Rendezvous with Yesterday (The Gifted Ones Book 2) and Blade of Darkness (Immortal Guardians Book 7) contained Bonus Scenes at the end that were not included in the audiobooks. If you would like to read them, I've posted both in my Books Group on Facebook. You can find them under "Files" in the group.

While I tend to spend more time in my Books Group, I still post on my Facebook Author Page. I think Facebook now only allows 1—2% of those who have Liked a Page to see its posts. So here are a few posts you might have missed:

Looks like Sheldon is homeschooling again . . .

Adira if she could shape-shift . . .

Um . . . no. I would not do this. Would you?

Call me crazy, but I love seeing people happy . . .

What Sheldon does when he should be working . . .

This reminded me of Roland. 😃 And Bastien. And Zach . . .

I love this . . .

I don't know why this reminded me of Zach. 😃

I also announced Seth's book and the French releases and held a Swag Pack Giveaway. 😊

That's all for now. I hope your 2019 is going well so far. I can't believe it's already April.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I hope this holiday season brings you and yours great health and happiness!

For those who may have missed it, I shared a character interview on My Facebook Page and in My Books Group just for fun. In it, Todd (one of the human guards at the Network in my Immortal Guardians series) interviews Roland and Sarah (hero and heroine of Darkness Dawns) and learns the hazards of holiday shopping with an Immortal Guardian. I hope you'll enjoy it. ;-)

Have a wonderful day!

Since it's still Friday as I write this... It's time for Favorite Quote Friday! I'm not ready to share any quotes from Seth's book yet, so I thought I'd share a favorite from Stanislav and Susan's story Awaken the Darkness. In this scene, Susan has just been hit with yet another of Stanislav's astonishing abilities, one that gave her quite a scare:
________________________

Taking a step forward, she held her arms out to him. "Come here."

She didn't have to ask him twice. Closing the distance between them, he wrapped his strong arms around her and squeezed her close, lifting her feet off the floor.

Susan slid her arms around his neck and held on tight.

"Please don't fear me," he uttered hoarsely, burying his face in her neck.

"I'll try," she promised, unwilling to lie and say she wouldn't. She doubted this would be the last thing about him that would freak her out. "Just give me time to adjust, okay?" Some of the things you can do may startle me, but—"

"I would never hurt you, Susan. I vow it."

She tightened her hold. "I know." Resting her head on his shoulder, she sighed. "I'm sorry I hurt you."

He shook his head. Several long moments passed while both calmed and just held each other. Every movement conveying his reluctance, Stanislav finally lowered her until her feet touched the floor, then stepped back.

Susan stared up at him, stunned all over again by his new size. "Wow," she declared with a grin, "you are freaking huge."

He laughed.

Reaching out, she gave one of his biceps an experimental squeeze, then poked the hard muscles of his chest. "I like it. You wear it well."

Smiling, he shook his head. "You're amazing."

A lot of Immortal Guardians fans have been asking me who the next IG book will feature. I've seen a lot of bloggers and book reviewers wondering the same. So if you haven't already heard the news...Immortal Guardians Book 9 will feature Seth as the hero. I've had some fantastic writing days lately and am really loving how Seth's book is coming along. I plan to release it in 2019, but don't have a specific date yet. I'll keep you posted and let you know when I do. :-)

Awaken the Darkness—News and More

Happy Friday! I have fun news to share.

Awaken the Darkness hit the USA Today Bestseller List! Woohoo!! Many heartfelt thanks go out to all of the readers who put it there! Thank you so much, everyone who picked up a copy. I could not be more thrilled by your responses to Stanislav and Susan. I've been hearing from readers who tell me they've already reread it or listened to it three or four times. And I have to say: That is one of the most awesome things an author can hear. :-)

I've been busily putting together prize winner packages. I held quite a few giveaways in the weeks leading up to the release, some of which continued  thereafter. I used so much tape on them. LOL. I always do in an attempt to ensure they'll reach their destinations intact. So if the winners have a little difficulty opening them—sorry about that. :-)

Congratulations to the Awaken the Darkness Pre-Order Giveaway winners:

Lindsey M.
Allison H.
Barbara W.
All three prizes have been sent. And thank you again, everyone who pre-ordered Awaken the Darkness!

Congratulations to the winners of my Awaken the Darkness Blog Tour Giveaway:

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! For those who are just hearing about Awaken the Darkness, I thought I would provide another peek into its pages with a brief excerpt that features the hero and heroine. I'll preface it by mentioning that the heroine is telepathic:
He started to ease around her. "Stay here."
She grabbed his arm. "No way. I'm coming with you."
He looked as though he wanted to protest but thought better of it and nodded. "When we find him, use your gift to let me hear his thoughts."
"I don't know how to do that. I mean, I can listen to them myself. But I don't know how to let you hear them, too."
He patted her hand where it rested on his arm. "Just hold on to me. You're broadcasting pretty loudly right now. So I'll hear whatever you hear when you peek into his mind."
Really? That was so cool.
His lips twitched.
She grinned. "I am broadcasting loudly, aren't I?"
"Yes."
Her nerves jangled as she looked toward the van.
Stanislav leaned down and pressed a kiss to her hair. "Don't be afraid. I won't let anyone hurt you."
Susan nodded, her heart stuttering a bit. She liked the feel of his hand on hers. His lips touching her hair. The casual gestures of affection. It made her feel like a teenager in the grips of a first crush.
Glancing down at her, he smiled.
"Damn it," she hissed. "I just broadcast that, didn't I?"
"Yes."
"Well, forget you heard it."
He returned his attention to the van. "Not likely." Palming a knife, he shifted his hand to keep the weapon out of sight and strode forward.
Have a wonderful weekend!
