Tuesday marked the One Month To Go point for Blade of Darkness's release.  I celebrated with a fun giveaway over on My Facebook Page.  Congrats again to Rachel R. for winning a signed copy of Shadows Strike + Immortal Guardians and The Gifted Ones swag!  I'll probably have quite a few Flash Giveaways between now and release day, so keep an eye on My Facebook Page. or send me a friend request so we can connect on My Personal Profile, because I don't always get a chance to mention them here.  :-)

Yesterday Tropical Storm Harvey became a hurricane and turned my way.  They're saying it will be at least a Category 3 by the time it makes landfall.  And, to make matters worse, they expect it to behave like Tropical Storm Allison did and just park over us for several days and dump up to twenty inches of rain.  So . . . I may not get much work done in the next few days.  And if you don't see me on Facebook for a while, it will likely be due to power outages.  The rain and storms are supposed to last through the middle of next week.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday! How about another sneak peek into the pages of Blade of Darkness? This one features Aidan and Dana, the hero and heroine. :-)

Silence enfolded them. 

Dana would’ve thought sleep would claim her pretty quickly after their fabulous lovemaking. But it didn’t. 

Aidan arched a brow. 

She grinned. “I don’t know about you, but I’m wide-awake now.” 

He laughed. “Me, too.”

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Only a month to go until Blade of Darkness releases.  I'm so excited!!  (If this is the first time you're hearing about it and you're new to my Immortal Guardians series, don't worry.  Each book can be read as a stand-alone novel.  You'll just know more about the secondary characters if you read the books in order.)  For today's selection, I've chosen a snippet that features Dana, the heroine:

Slowly, Dana walked around the long table and stared at them.

Blade of Darkness—Sneak Peek, Giveaway & More

Hi, all!  This has been a very long week. But we did get another thunder-booming downpour.  :-D  This one lasted at least a couple of hours.  Such a stress-reliever.  Having the same weather—blindingly bright sunshine and scorching heat with feels-like temps above 100ºF—can be a real drag.  :-)  Now my flowers are all blooming and everything is lush and green.  Love it!

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  We're coming up on the one-month countdown to Blade of Darkness's release.  I'm so excited!!  So today's quote is another sneak peek that features Aidan and Dana, the hero and heroine:

Aidan ducked his head, burying his face in the crook of her neck. “Damn, you feel good,” he whispered, his deep voice hoarse with need. 

It only excited her more. “What do you say we forget dinner and the movie?” she whispered, her breath shortening. 

“How you tempt me,” he rumbled, tightening his hold. 

“If I tempted you as much as you tempt me,” she pronounced boldly, “we would both be naked right now.”

I'm working on character interviews for my Blade of Darkness Blog Tour and am having fun with Sheldon, as usual. :-) I hope you're having a nice weekend!

Favorite Quote Friday—Blade of Darkness

Happy Friday!  This has been another great week.  We had the most wonderful cool, rainy day here.  Temps dropped twenty degrees, low enough for me to open the windows and let a nice breeze in.  And you know how much I love gray days.  :-)  

My proofreader also finished going over Blade of Darkness.  Now it's on to formatting.  Then paperback ARCs will be printed and I can start sending them to reviewers and include them in giveaways.  Woohoo!!    

Another high point of the week:  The first boxes of Blade of Darkness swag arrived.  I'm expecting more today.  Can't wait to see it!  I'll try to post some pictures next week. :-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Today I have another sneak peek into the pages of Blade of Darkness for you.  I've been having such fun, reading back through it and picking out favorite snippets to share with you... as well as favorite scenes to share in excerpts on the blog tour.  ;-)  Today's snippet is a narrative quote that features Dana and Aidan (the heroine and hero):

Moving closer, Dana cupped Aidan’s face in both hands. His jaw was as smooth as it looked. His skin warm. His eyes tormented. 

Her pulse picked up at the contact.
