Favorite Quote Friday #135

Happy Friday!  I had so much fun at the Author Takeoever yesterday!  Thank you, everyone who dropped by and chatted with me.  I enjoyed getting to know you better.  We had giveaways and sneak peeks and more.  The hour really flew by!  :-)

My new Immortal Guardians swag arrived!  Or rather, most of it arrived.  UPS only delivered eleven of the twelve boxes and marked them all as delivered, so my awesome In Still Darkness postcards are missing.  *grumble, grumble, grumble*  I'm hoping they'll eventually be delivered next week.

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  Only a little over a month to go until the July 29th release of In Still Darkness the Immortal Guardians novella that tells Richart and Jenna's story.   And there are only a little over two months to go until the September 2nd release of Night Unbound, Immortal Guardians Book 5, which tells Zach and Lisette's story.  So I thought I would give you a taste of both by choosing a quote from Night Unbound that features Richart and Jenna for today's selection:

"I did not need to see that," Richart said.  "I mean, I really did not need to see that.  Jenna, honey, grab one of my daggers and poke out both my eyes."

Favorite Quote Friday #134

Happy Friday!  I had some really great writing days this week.  :-)  Immortal Guardians Book 6 is coming along very nicely.  I love the banter between the hero and heroine . . . who shall remain nameless for a little bit longer.  ;-)

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  I thought I'd give you another sneak peek of Night Unbound, Immortal Guardians Book 5, today.  :-)  In this scene, you'll find immortals Lisette (the telepathic heroine of Night Unbound), Bastien (villain of Darkness Dawns and hero of Phantom Shadows), and Ethan:

[Bastien] scowled.  "Are you reading my thoughts again, telepath?" 

"I didn't have to.  It was all over your face.  Besides, I stopped peeking into your head a long time ago because all you ever think about is Melanie naked and your vampire friends." 

Ethan's eyebrows flew up.  "He thinks about Melanie naked with his vampire friends?" 

Bastien popped him on the back of the head.

The thing I love most about writing a series is not having to say goodbye to my favorite characters.  :-)

I have more exciting news!  In Still Darkness, the Immortal Guardians novella that tells Richart and Jenna's story and was originally published in the Predatory anthology, will be released as a solo ebook in August!  Yay!!!  Don't you just love that cover?  :-)  If this is your first time hearing of it and you're wondering where it falls in the series, In Still Darkness is Book 3.5, but can easily be read as a stand-alone novella.  Here's the blurb:

It's time once more for Favorite Quote Friday!  To celebrate the cool cover and blurb reveal, I thought I would choose a quote from In Still Darkness for today's selection.

Richart could do nothing to free her until the vampire released her.  If he struck now, the vamp could break her neck. 

So he simply cleared his throat. 

The vampires all looked in his direction. 

"Where the hell did you come from?" one spouted and shifted, giving Richart a clearer view of the captive. 

The woman turned her head to meet Richart's gaze. 

And the oddest little tingle danced through his chest. 

She was pretty, with fiery red hair that fell just beneath her shoulders, pale freckled skin, and wide hazel eyes that met and held his, full of both hope and fear.

I had to go back and check something in Richart and Jenna's story earlier this week while working on Book 6 and ended up reading the whole thing again from beginning to end.  I love their story, in part because you rarely see powerful paranormal warriors try to date or carry on a normal courtship with a mortal woman.  :-)

This was my first ever book cover and I love it!  The cover model is as hot as Roland (the hero).  And the catacombs behind him remind me of Bastien's (the villain's) lair.  I believe I left this cover image open on my desktop for weeks after receiving it I was so excited.  :-)

I love this cover!  The model is totally drool worthy.  He's dressed in black like Étienne (the hero).  And the purple and white background ties in perfectly with the auras Krysta (the heroine) sees.  :-)

I love the eye-catching red in this one.  I also like that the hunky cover model is shirtless, which is the way you'll find Zach (the hero) on most nights.  And the wings give readers a hint of what they'll encounter between the pages.  ;-)
