Immortal Guardians News

Happy Monday! We had the most wonderful cloudy, rainy, thunder-rumbly weather roll in here last week. Temps were a good 15º-20º cooler all week. And you know how much I love rainy days. Throw in some thunder and it's the perfect writing weather. So I've been writing away on my next book. 🙂

Thank you, everyone who has pre-ordered Death of Darkness. You made Seth's book a #1 New Release in Vampire Suspense on Amazon! Woohoo!! I know I say this every time I release a book, but pre-orders are so important to authors. That's one of the reasons I discount the book during the pre-order period as a way of saying thank you. 🙂 Pre-orders help authors hit lists, which encourages new readers to give the series a look and also prompts Amazon to recommend the book to readers who like other books in the same genre. So thank you again! I hope you'll enjoy it!

If this is your first time hearing about the book, here's the awesome cover, the blurb, and some buy links:

Delve into the most eagerly anticipated book in New York Timesbestselling author Dianne Duvall’s “utterly addictive” (RT Book Reviews), “fast-paced and humorous” (Publishers Weekly) Immortal Guardians series.

Seth has led the Immortal Guardians for thousands of years. With them fighting by his side, he has protected humans from psychotic vampires, defeated corrupt mercenary armies, defended military bases under attack, and more. But the latest enemy to rise against the Immortal Guardians has proven to be a formidable one, wielding almost as much power as Seth. His goal is simple. He wants to watch the world burn. And he will use every means at his disposal to accomplish it. Seth and his Immortal Guardians have succeeded thus far in staving off Armageddon despite heartbreaking losses. But they have never before faced such danger. Seth has only one wish: to protect his Immortal Guardians family and ensure the continuation of humanity by defeating his foe. But then Leah walks into his life and sparks a new desire.

Leah Somerson has suffered losses of her own. It has taken her a long time to rebuild her life and find some semblance of peace. Then one night a tall, dark, powerful immortal with what appears to be the weight of the world on his shoulders stumbles into her shop, and everything changes. Peace and contentment are no longer enough. Now she wants more. She wants to find happiness. She wants to erase the darkness in Seth’s eyes and replace it with love and laughter. She knows he’s different in ways that make most fear him. Even some of his immortal brethren keep a careful distance. But Leah will not. Nor will she shy away when danger strikes.

My Dianne Duvall Books Group on Facebook has begun an Immortal Guardians Read Along. They've been reading Darkness Dawns this past week, posting favorite quotes, scenes, dream casts, and more. They'll start Night Reigns this week.

All you have to do to join the group is answer two questions so we know you aren't a spammer. We have a lot of fun in the group and would love to see you there, even if you don't join the Read Along. 😄

I have more fun news: Roland, the hero in Darkness Dawns, made Romance Rehab's Sexiest Grumpy Heroes in Romance list. Woohoo!! 😄 I love Roland. One of my absolute favorite things about writing a series of books is being able to watch characters from earlier books continue to grow and change as the series progresses. And boy has Roland changed. I always grin big when readers tell me he's one of their favorite characters.
