Delve into New York Times bestselling author Dianne Duvall’s “utterly addictive” (RT Book Reviews), “fast-paced and humorous” (Publishers Weekly) Immortal Guardians series.

Seth has led the Immortal Guardians for thousands of years. With them fighting by his side, he has protected humans from psychotic vampires, defeated corrupt mercenary armies, defended military bases under attack, and more. But the latest enemy to rise against the Immortal Guardians has proven to be a formidable one, wielding almost as much power as Seth. His goal is simple. He wants to watch the world burn. And he will use every means at his disposal to accomplish it. Seth and his Immortal Guardians have succeeded thus far in staving off Armageddon despite heartbreaking losses. But they have never before faced such danger. Seth has only one wish: to protect his Immortal Guardians family and ensure the continuation of humanity by defeating his foe. But then Leah walks into his life and sparks a new desire.

Leah Somerson has suffered losses of her own. It has taken her a long time to rebuild her life and find some semblance of peace. Then one night a tall, dark, powerful immortal with what appears to be the weight of the world on his shoulders stumbles into her shop, and everything changes. Peace and contentment are no longer enough. Now she wants more. She wants to find happiness. She wants to erase the darkness in Seth’s eyes and replace it with love and laughter. She knows he’s different in ways that make most fear him. Even some of his immortal brethren keep a careful distance. But Leah will not. Nor will she shy away when danger strikes.

*For the paperback lovers out there: I've run into a hitch getting the paperback up on Amazon. An unexpected issue has arisen. The publisher is working to correct it now. So I hope it will go up soon. Sorry for the delay.

I always like to give you a peek into the pages on Release Day, so here is a brief excerpt of Death of Darkness that features Seth and Leah:

Still holding her hand, he led her into the bathroom and flipped on the light.

“Wow. You guys are loaded, aren’t you?” she asked as she looked around.

Again he laughed. “We’re very comfortable financially, yes.”

“Seriously, I could swim in that tub,” she said, admiring it. “I mean, I could lie down in the bottom of it, reach my arms above my head, and would barely be able to touch both ends.”

He shrugged. “David wanted to ensure I could stretch out in it comfortably.”

She turned her attention to the shower. “Ooh! Look how high the showerhead is. Awesome! I won’t have to duck down to rinse the shampoo out of my hair like I do in mine. Someone really short must have lived there before me.”

He grinned, loving how much she was loving his bathroom.

“And look.” Opening the shower door, she drew him in after her. The glass walls that enclosed them left plenty of elbow room. “It’s big enough for two,” she said with a wink.

He shook his head as his damned body responded to the image of the two of them naked in the shower. “Don’t tempt me.”

She wrinkled her nose. “Sorry. I said I wasn’t going to do that, didn’t I? Something about you just really brings out the flirt in me.” She led him out of the shower.

“Just me?” he couldn’t resist asking. Imagining her flirting with other men brought on an acidic surge of jealousy.

“Just you,” she confirmed, then leaned closer to whisper, “which is why I’m filing away the big-enough-for-two shower-and-tub thing for future reference.”

He laughed.
